Rent a Bike and allride launch a strategic partnership for sustainable mobility

Companies and site operators are increasingly aware that alternative mobility offerings offer added value to their employees and tenants. "We are seeing a growing awareness of this type of mobility. The factors of promoting health, reducing CO2 emissions and operating costs, and the availability of parking spaces are all coming to the fore," explains Stefan Maissen, Managing Director of Rent a Bike SA.

This strategic partnership will enable us to develop a comfortable multimodal mobility offer for businesses and residential areas. In addition to electric cars, high-quality electric bicycles manufactured by the Kreuzlingen-based company "Tour de Suisse" are made available on the allride platform to customers throughout Switzerland as part of the strategic partnership with Rent a Bike, and are checked, serviced and cleaned for a comfortable and safe cycling experience.

Vehicles integrated into the allride ecosystem can be reserved, opened and closed via the allride app. This practical digital solution eliminates the need for complex reservation and key management, making sustainable electric mobility easier to achieve. The allride portal enables customers to keep track of and manage their fleet.

As part of this partnership, Rent a Bike will gradually integrate its digital solution for sharing offers into the allride application. "With this strong partner at our side, we can leverage the benefits of digitization even more effectively and integrate them optimally into our own Corporate E-Bike Sharing offering," Stefan Maissen emphasizes.

Since 1934, Tour de Suisse Rad AG has been manufacturing bicycles in Switzerland, close to the people who use them. In its local factory, Tour de Suisse builds all simple and electric bicycles according to customers' wishes, and offers a wide range of models and equipment. Customized bikes in the color requested by customers are produced with the company's signature paint. Since its inception, the manufacture of simple and electric bicycles has been owner-managed and based on the Swiss production site.
